Itinerary

Day 1

Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park (Selous)

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam. Drive south through coastal villages and miombo woodlands toward Nyerere National Park. Arrive for lunch, then enjoy a relaxing afternoon with time at the lodge and an optional nature walk depending on timing and arrangements.

Day 2

Full-Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park

Spend a full day exploring Nyerere National Park by 4x4 safari vehicle. Game drives cover woodlands, open plains, riverbanks and lakes where lions, elephants, buffaloes, wild dogs, zebras and impalas may be seen. A picnic lunch inside the park keeps you close to the wildlife and allows more time for game viewing.

Day 3

Rufiji River Boat Safari and Afternoon Game Drive

Begin the day with a boat safari on the Rufiji River, one of Tanzania's most scenic waterways. Look for hippos, crocodiles and abundant birdlife along the river. After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive to search for predators, elephants, buffalo and other big game.

Day 4

Walking Safari and Game Drive
